Family Sanctioned Events / Fundraisers

Home Remodel Project
Saturdays
2109 Hoyt St, Lakewood

The community has come together to plan & execute a fantastic remodel of the Watchmans' home. An addition is being lovingly built onto their existing home so that Andre will have an accessible place to continue his healing & progress once he leaves Craig Hospital. You can help by coming to work, bringing food/drinks for the work crews, or just showing up to lend your moral support & witness the amazing things that are happening there.

For more information, contact Cindy Main: cindy.main@ymail.com or watch for updates on Facebook & Twitter. Gift cards to Lowes/Home Depot will be gratefully accepted at the job site on Saturdays or you may mail them to Cindy at 2498 Hoyt St, Lakewood, CO 80215.

Community Support Meeting for Andre Lang Watchman
every other Saturday, 1:30 pm (March 31, April 14)
Craig Hospital, 3425 S Clarkson St, Denver
(in the patient family housing building behind Craig East--meeting room is on the 1st floor)

Please join us for a brainstorming/planning meeting where we can discuss ideas for fundraising & how to best support Andre and his family. If you have an idea, some enthusiasm, some free time, some contacts or some skills, please join us!

Rides are available. Send a message to: friendsofandre@gmail.com or post on www.facebook.com/andresbridge & we'll make arrangements.

At this time, we are not inviting the media to attend these events. This is for planning & sharing ideas only and we'd rather not have the distraction of cameras & interviews. Thank you.

Kids Action Plan (KAP), founded by Victoria True
Moore Middle School, Arvada

Some of Mrs. Watchman's students have created a fundraising group at the school where she teaches. Headed by middle school student Victoria True, the group did cookie sales during December. They have the following projects coming up:

Gift Cards for Groceries: A freezer has been donated & will be delivered once the Watchman family is back at home full-time. KAP is accepting donations of grocery cards to stock the freezer. You may purchase grocery cards & mail them to: Kids Action Plan c/o True, 7810 Club Crest Dr, Arvada, CO 80005

Big '80s Bowling Bash: Saturday, April 7, 4-8pm. Western Bowl, 10000 Ralston Road, Arvada.

Flash back to the '80s at this bodacious bowling event. Break out the leg warmers, neon headbands and pop those collars on your Izod shirts for a chance to win the costume contest! Enjoy retro music and '80s memories while raising funds for Andre Lang.

$5 for 2 games (including shoe rental), Western Bowl will donate all bowling proceeds to Andre!

RSVP or for more info: kidsactionplan@comcast.net

KAP Bracelets: KAP is selling teal rubber wrist bands with 'Kids Action Plan' on them. They are $1 each, and all proceeds go to support Andre's family. Contact KAP through their Facebook Page or via email: kidsactionplan@comcast.net to order.
